Her journey in healthcare began in 2009 as a mental health aide at UPMC’s Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic while pursuing her nursing degree at Carlow University. After graduating, she worked in the Intensive Care Unit at Magee Hospital, where she observed the prevalence of preventable diseases. This fueled her desire to do more and led her to pursue a Master of Science in Nursing to become an advanced practice provider. Jessica is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) and a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Robert Morris University. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Robert Morris. Jessica’s healthcare experience began five years ago in the emergency department at Latrobe Hospital, where she served for two years. She then gained valuable experience as a travel nurse in the Allentown area, followed by two years at the AHN Hempfield Neighborhood Emergency Department. Through these diverse experiences, she has developed a deep understanding of patient needs across the lifespan, from newborns to hospice care. This has equipped her with the ability to effectively communicate with patients and understand their expectations for a primary care provider. Which she will use to integrate into her practice as a Nurse Practitioner. Jessica’s doctoral thesis focused on the importance of natural supplementation, specifically examining the health practices of Amish communities and their preference for natural supplements over modern medicine. This research has provided her with a unique perspective on holistic healthcare and the benefits of alternative therapies. Jessica is dedicated to providing patient-centered, holistic care.
